That's not to say Photoshop can't have bugs and problems, of course it does, just like any other software. They all need to work flawlessly, or Photoshop will crash and burn. Along with third party extensions and plugins. Everyone who has been around this forum for some time, knows that buggy video drivers is the curse of Photoshop.
If the video driver messes this up, the application that crashes is Photoshop. One weak link in the chain can trigger problems much further downstream.Ī good example is OpenCL, where Photoshop sends calculations off to the GPU, and then gets the result back later. Any one thing happening is a result of a long chain of events. But it just needs to be said somewhere, whether anyone's listening or not.Ī modern computer and all its software is a complex beast where things interact and rely on other things.
